It’s been announced that after eight spectacular years of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour, there will only be one highlighted event in 2016 at the legendary Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid on June 24.

The Red Bull X-Fighters event in Madrid will mark the 15th straight year that the famous bullring will host the signature FMX event, where the world’s best riders have been pushing the envelope with new and exciting tricks since 2002. With leaps of up to 15 metres high and 30 metres in distance, Frenchman Tom Pagès became the first rider in history to win Madrid three consecutive times with his stirring victory in 2015 in front of a sold-out house of 23,000 spectators.

Some of the greatest FMX riders the sport has ever known have tried to win over the knowledgeable and appreciative Madrid crowds with their creations. Travis Pastrana (USA) has also won at Madrid three times, but not consecutively, while Dany Torres (ESP) has won the stop of the season twice. Other winners in Madrid include Robbie Maddison (AUS), Levi Sherwood (NZL), Mat Rebeaud (SUI), Nate Adams (USA), Kenny Bartram (USA) and Edgar Torronteras (ESP).

Stay tuned for updates.
